The Mood Swings are in full bloom! Thanks so much to everyone who came to our Valentine's day concert at the Columbia City Theater! The night was a smashing success, and it was great seeing all of our friends enjoying the romantic evening. We're already brainstorming our next adventure, so stay tuned. We're hoping that we'll have a bigger space next time to allow everyone more elbow room on the dance floor. A special shout-out to our volunteers - your help with tickets, sound balance and cleanup was greatly appreciated. You're the best!

Spring is in full swing, and we're gearing up for our summer concerts. We've been polishing up new songs, adding more improvisation, and trying different seating arrangements to make this the best summer yet! You can get a preview of our summer set list on April 30th at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park, WA. Don't forget your dancing shoes! Song Spotlight Irving Berlin's classic Puttin' on the Ritz debut in 1930 with the movie of the same name. It was inspired by the classy dressers who frequented the Ritz Hotel in London. It features flashy syncopation, which historian Alec Wilder described as "the most complex and provocative I have ever come upon". Put on your fancy clothes and dance to this hit at the next Mood Swings concert! Member Profile
Alice Grette is one of our trombone players. She studied trombone at Western Washington and graduated from UW with a degree in Spanish. Alice keeps her chops in top form teaching private lessons and playing with the SWOJO. When she's not spicing up our latin songs, she can be found sweetening up Seattle's landscapes. Lucky for us, she has a very musical family, which includes one of our singers, Sophia, and Sylvia, a trumpet player. Say "hi" to Alice at our next performance!
